“All About Athens” Bike Tour is the best introduction to the beautiful city of Athens. We are uncovering the charms of both the ancient and the modern city center in a relatively fast and entertaining way, making stops to take photos and share interesting stories.

What to expect

This morning bike Athens orientation tour lasts about 2.5 hours. You will ride through the beautiful and historic center of the city, on pedestrian and low traffic streets and parks, away from the traffic hustle.

Your local tour leader will be heading the tour, passing by the main Athens archaeological sites, guiding you through some of the city’s hidden secrets for an exquisite experience!

The bike route passes from the new Acropolis Museum and the Ancient Cemetery of Kerameikos until we reach the neighborhood of Thission, where you enjoy a great view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. After that, we will cycle through the Ancient Greek Agora and pass by the Roman Agora and popular Monastiraki flea market. We continue cycling in the historic district of Plaka, and then move to one of the best areas to ride downtown Athens: the National Garden (formerly the royal garden), 15,5 hectares of greenery, a natural oasis in the middle of Athens. Right outside we will make a stop in front of the Presidential Mansion to see the Presidential Guards (Evzones), then pass by the Panathenaic Stadium and the Zappeion exhibition Hall.

This Athens bike tour is designed for the average cyclist. We do not cycle on busy streets and we avoid difficult uphill. Small groups and our local tour leaders ensure your safety.
